On June 28th, 2009 at about 4:40 PM the Ithaca Police Department responded to a robbery complaint at Jason’s Deli located at 301 College Ave. It was reported that a white male approximately 6’ tall and 190 pounds with a skinny build wearing a sweatshirt with the hood zipped over his face entered the store and demanded money. The suspect displayed what appeared to be a black-handled semi-automatic pistol in his waistband. The investigation revealed that this was not an actual robbery because the suspect and cashier were acquaintances, therefore, the incident turned towards a Grand Larceny investigation. The case is still being investigated and more arrests are expected.
